BD Consultancy recently secured funding of almost £300K for nine Mid Ulster businesses, as part of Mid Ulster Rural Development Business Investment Scheme.
The funding will now be used by the companies to purchase cutting-edge capital equipment, helping to improve overall efficiency by assisting with production processes and new product development.
Securing £293,318 in total for her clients, who operate within the construction, engineering manufacturing, IT and vehicle recovery sectors, Brigid worked with a mixture of existing micro enterprises and more established companies.
As part of the initiative, businesses could apply for up to 50% of the cost of their capital spend. Meanwhile, those with 10 or more employees were able to apply for a maximum of £90K, while existing businesses with fewer than 10 employees could apply for a maximum £50K of funding.
100% success rate in funding applications
Submitting funding applications can be a tedious and time-consuming – not to mention sometimes a confusing – exercise but securing investment for your business is well worth the effort.
BD Consultancy has been helping all sorts of businesses to do this for many years and to date, we have a 100% success rate with our clients in this regard. That means, when we submit a funding application on your behalf, you ultimately get that funding and can use it to nurture and grow your business.
What makes a successful application?
This is perhaps a blog post for another day, but essentially, the reason why BD Consultancy has enjoyed so much success with client applications is because we are incredibly thorough.
We work closely with our clients every step of the way throughout the funding application process, ensuring that all boxes are ticked to ensure the best chance of success.
Developing ‘working’ business plans
One of the key components of the Rural Development Programme is having a detailed business plan and three-year financial projections. At BD Consultancy, we walk our clients through this process from start to finish, creating functional documents that they can continue to use into the future.
Our business plans and projections are based on realistic client goals so the documents created are suitable both for the funding application but also, are of ongoing value. We hone in on our clients’ business strategies and what they really want to focus on over the next three years, taking time to get to know and understand their companies and processes.
As a result, our clients end up with working documents that can be used and monitored on a monthly basis.
With the recent funding applications, we assisted with everything from the initial procurement, to preparing equipment specifications, writing the business plan and the online applications themselves, covering all bases for our clients’ peace of mind.
Working with businesses across Northern Ireland
As well as working in Mid Ulster, we also submit business plans and rural applications for clients across Northern Ireland and have recently completed four within the Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council area.
Brigid also introduces business to Invest NI where appropriate, so they can pursue further potential funding, as well as support opportunities for Research & Development, market development, employment and e-business investment.
