We thought it was about time to share some of the rich history that has brought BD Consultancy to this pivotal moment and give you a small insight into the values, successes and hopes we have for the future. The last 16 years have allowed us to engage with over 500 inspiring SME’s and we couldn’t be more grateful.

BD Consultancy began with our founder Brigid Duggan, and her insatiable desire to make a difference in the business world.
With a wealth of experience in the banking sector, office management and working diligently in engineering sector, Brigid was eager to take her skills and encourage, develop and empower businesses to achieve greatness. This passion is the golden thread that runs throughout BD Consultancy. Brigid’s dedication, limitless energy and incredible knowledge has allowed BD Consultancy to consistently provide results for businesses in need, and we couldn’t feel more proud of these achievements. In 2014 we were awarded the iFactory Business Mentor Award which was presented by Jo Malone. Not only was this an absolute honour to receive, but as a female-lead business it was amazing to receive this award from Jo Malone, an inspiration for female entrepreneurs everywhere. BD Consultancy has also had the pleasure of being nominated as a finalist for Mid Ulster Business Awards in 2019 for Best Customer Service and finalists in Small Business Best Customer Service Award at the Women In Business Awards, 2018. These nominations mean so much to us, as customer service is incredibly important to us, and our clients are always our ultimate priority. To be recognised for our dedication, our passion and our consistent success is wonderful, and gives us even more drive to keep achieving for our clients.

One of our key highlights from the last 16 years was in 2007, when BD Consultancy enjoyed the privilege of being asked by Chris McCarney from Magherafelt Council to project manage the trade mission China Trips to Canton Fair. What a project it was! The opportunity to expand our expertise to a global level was nothing short of magnificent, and after an extremely successful first trip Brigid Duggan captained an additional 6 trips to China up to 2011. Working in this way has allowed everyone here at BD Consultancy the opportunity to broaden their reach, employ innovative ways of thinking and armed us with the best tools to better serve our clients.
A DEDICATED TEAM OF AMBITIOUS WOMEN.
The success of BD Consultancy comes down to the combined efforts of four ambitious, solution-focused, highly qualified women, that move mountains for our clients. Brigid Duggan, began the BD Consultancy journey and created wild success for all the clients she had the pleasure of working for. Brigid’s immaculate reputation allowed BD Consultancy the space to thrive, and soon, Brigid realised that the business had blossomed into something far greater than she could have imagined. It was at this point Brigid brought Ciara Turley on board to assist with market research and sales development. Matching Brigid’s dedication and drive, Ciara became a key member of the team and BD Consultancy went from strength to strength. Achieving the best results for our clients is of our utmost concern, and so in 2020, Brigid decided to expand the team further with HR specialist Louise McWilliams joining the team as well as Arlene Faloon, who supports our clients with all their payroll and accounts needs. It’s safe to say that BD Consultancy has had incredible growth within the past 16 years, and we couldn’t feel more confident in the abilities of our team.

With many changes, shifts and positive growth, we’ve created a service that allows businesses to thrive, encourages businesses to think bigger and champions every success that our clients achieve under our guidance. We’ve connected with start ups, small businesses and well established brands. We’ve supported rural communities, sourced well needed funding for those in need and steered businesses in danger of closing to the path of success. We’ve helped businesses implement processes, methods and structures to future proof their work, and we’ve been the voice of reason when things were falling apart. But most importantly of all, we’ve remained passionate, we’ve remained dedicated and we’ve remained motivated by our client’s success.
